The Department of English is seeking undergraduate student workers to join two teams: Front Desk/Department Ambassadors and Communications. Multiple positions are open on each team, and you may apply to both.

Front desk positions are in-person during the academic year (Autumn through Spring); communications team positions may allow for remote/virtual work, depending on work schedules and team needs. Ideally, candidates will start training in late July/early August, but for both teams we're open to remote/virtual training options if you won't be in the Columbus area yet.

Applications are extended through Sunday, June 30 at 11:59 pm. Please note that the postings in Workday may indicate that the deadline is June 16 — this is incorrect, and applications may be submitted through the June 30. Virtual interviews will take place in July.

Front Desk/Department Ambassador team (English majors only)

Members of the front desk/department ambassador team are the public face of the department. Selected duties include: answering inquiries from department members, prospective students, and the public, and directing those individuals to resources; scheduling advising appointments and checking in students when they arrive; assisting with recruitment and outreach efforts.
