Brian McHale Memorial Fund in the Department of English

Established in memory of Distinguished Professor Brian McHale to support students and programming in the Department of English.
David Citino Memorial Fund

Fund established in honor of Professor David Citino: Poet Laureate of the University, Exemplary Faculty Award Winner, Alumni Professional Achievement Award Winner and recipient of the 2004 Governor's Award for the Arts in Ohio. He served Ohio State from 1974 to 2005. Including but not limited to undergraduate and graduate scholarships and travel abroad experiences for students in the Department of English.
English Study Abroad Fund

Supports study abroad opportunities for students in the Department of English. Scholarships are awarded by the department chair or his/her designee in consultation with Student Financial Aid.
Everett Laybourne Scholarship Fund in English

Scholarship for Students Majoring in English who also have an interest in writing.
Friends of Creative Writing Support Fund

Program support for the Creative Writing Program in the English department. Funds can be used for any aspect of the Creative Writing Program, including visiting writers' workshops, prizes and awards, travel for MFA students, the Young Writers' Workshop and many other related programs.
Friends of the English Department Fund

Contributions are used to support and enhance the activities the department sponsors for its faculty, students and staff. These activities — which might include holding a reception for a visiting scholar or purchasing tickets that allow English majors to attend a Shakespearean play — promote and enhance the academic programs and environment of the department. This is the department's primary general use fund.
Kitty O. Locker Memorial Fund

Established to honor the memory of Kitty O. Locker, professor of rhetoric and composition at Ohio State for 20 years and recipient of the Outstanding Researcher Award (1992) and Outstanding Teacher Award (1998). To support teaching awards and undergraduate and graduate scholarships in the Department of English in the area of business and professional writing.
Lord Denney’s Players Support Fund

Supports research-based student productions of Medieval and Renaissance dramatic works developed within the Department of English.
Marlene B. Longenecker English Faculty Citizenship Award
Fund number 312659
Award established to honor longtime faculty member, former department chair and acknowledged “good citizen” of the English department upon her retirement. The fund is used for an annual award for one faculty member, selected by the chair, who embodies generosity and citizenship in the Department of English.
Morris Beja Odyssey Award: Thriving Through Global Discovery Fund
Annual distribution provides one or more travel awards to undergraduate and/or graduate students who are pursuing degrees in the Department of English. Preference shall be given to undergraduate students who are specializing in Literature, Film, Folklore and Popular Culture Studies. Expenditures may include, but are not limited to, costs associated with delivering a paper, attending a conference, or doing site-specific research.
Project Narrative Fund

Stanley J. Kahrl English Graduate Student Support Fund

The David Frantz Fund in English

Established to honor Professor David Frantz upon his retirement. Supports undergraduate studies, both student and faculty support, in the Department of English at The Ohio State University.
The Edward P.J. Corbett Fund

Established July 2, 1999, from his estate through The Foundation. Income supports graduates in the English department graduate program, specifically research for and the writing of their thesis or dissertation.
The Genevieve M. Critel Fund

Established in honor of Gen's longstanding commitment to teaching writing and her dedication to undergraduate student writers. The funds will be used to support undergraduate students in the first-year writing courses at The Ohio State University and to provide awards to students’ submissions in undergraduate writing journals.
The Margaret D. Blickle Endowed Research Fund for Graduate Students

Established in 1997 from the estate of Joseph D. Blickle, professor emeritus, agriculture, and his wife, Margaret, associate professor emeritus, English. Income supports travel by English graduates for research or to present results at professional meetings.
The Rosemarie Sena Endowed Scholarship

Income provides an annual award of $500 to be used toward the tuition of a full-time undergraduate student majoring in English. The purpose is to reward and encourage undergraduate excellence in English studies.
Valerie Lee Support Fund for English Graduate Students

Supports professional opportunities for English graduate students, including travel to conferences and research sites, fellowships, study-abroad programs and student-sponsored conferences.
