We are a picture-taking culture: whether on vacation, documenting research, out with friends, creating an author page, snapping a beautiful plate, or taking the umpteenth photo of our pet, many of us take snapshots every single day. Unfortunately, many of those photos just aren't very good: they don't feel balanced, and often lead our eye to a distraction, instead of the subject of our photo.
Drop by 324 Denney Hall in any one of four timeslots for a 15-minute info dump with DMP graduate associate Alex Thompson, who will show you simple rules of thumb for shape, balance, and composition to make your photos really shine.
