In this virtual lecture, Leigh Gilmore, author of Tainted Witness: Why We Doubt What Women Say About Their Lives, will discuss three aspects of her ongoing project: the concept of the book, including the "breakthrough" framework and its relation to the previous book, Tainted Witness; Trump's "Hollywood Access" tape as an example of the representational forms being analyzed and how they're being read; and a preview of a reading practice for engaging with representations of sexual violence.

The Zoom link for the lecture will be sent out to English department listservs and by request before the lecture. Please contact Joey Ferraro (ferraro.48@osu.edu) for more information.
