The Department of English is pleased to announce that English Professor and Vice Chair Wendy Hesford will be participating in the College of Arts and Sciences Student Council Meet the Professor event on Tuesday, September 29th, from 5:30 - 6:30 PM, in the Senate Chamber on the second floor of the Ohio Union. All undergraduates are invited to attend this event, which will include a pizza dinner and an opportunity to ask Hesford questions about her academic career and human rights research.
Hesford's background in rhetoric, writing, and cultural studies informs her teaching and research interests. In this presentation, she will discuss her efforts to bring a humanities perspective to the study of international human rights law and representations of human rights violations in the US and globally.
