Jeredith Merrin specializes in poetry and poetic theory, twentieth-century literature and creative writing (poetry). She is the author of An Enabling Humility: Marianne Moore, Elizabeth Bishop, and the Uses of Tradition; Shift, a book of poetry published by the University of Chicago Press (Phoenix Poets Series); Bat Ode (2001), also from Phoenix Poets Series; and articles on Moore, Bishop, George Herbert, Charlotte Mew, Randall Jarrell, John Clare, Billy Collins,Yehuda Amichai and others. Her poetry has been published in Ploughshares, Ms., Kenyon Review, Hudson Review, Paris Review, Southwest Review, Sewanee Review, The Southern Review, Yale Review,Slate and elsewhere.
