Lisa J. Kiser specializes in Old and Middle English literature and culture as well as the history of the English language. She is the author of two books on Chaucer, Truth and Textuality in Chaucer's Poetry and Telling Classical Tales: Chaucer and The Legend of Good Women. Kiser is also the author of reviews and essays on medieval literature and culture. Her current research interests include nature in the Middle Ages and medieval environmental history. She is the recipient of the Ohio State Alumni Distinguished Teaching Award and the College of Humanities Exemplary Faculty Award.
