The Revival of EUGO: Undergrad Organization Has a Fresh Image and Big Plans!

According to their new website “EUGO (the  English Undergraduate Organization) is a community of English undergraduate students that sponsors social and service activities as well as academic and professional development events.” While striving to represent undergraduate interests EUGO members are able to serve alongside faculty and graduate students representatives on several committees as full-voting members, as well as select winners for undergraduate awards. Having been dormant for some time, EUGO has recently been revived thanks to the efforts of the group’s new executive board and members.

In recent months the EUGO executive – President Allison Devito, Vice-President Claire Ravenscroft, Treasurer Taylor Sawyer and Media Director Chase Ledin -- has been organizing regular events, meetings, and initiatives including the creation of their new website and logo.

EUGO is also planning a 5K fundraising event called “The Race for Education”: The event will take place on Sunday, May 6th, at 10:00 am, in Fred Beekman Park. Registration is $10 for students and $15 for others. Proceeds will go toward EUGO’s scholarship fund and other initiatives as well as the non-profit "I Know I Can." All of the larger university and Columbus community is invited to participate whether by walking, running, or simply sending in an online donation.
