October 10, 2011

Building on the success of the forum on Literacy in Science as well as the recognition that the health of American democracy in the twenty-first century will depend on the development of a larger number of scientifically literate citizens, LiteracyStudies@OSU is organizing a Literacy and Science working group led by Jonathan Buehl (English: Science and Technical Writing), David Haury (Teaching and Learning: Science Education), Earle Holland (University Science Research Communication), and Harvey J. Graff (English and History: Literacy Studies) of colleagues across campus, whose interests include scientific literacy, science education, and science communication.
