Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Literacy and Science Working Group

Workshop of students and faculty

Building on the success of the forum on Literacy in Science as well as the recognition that the health of American democracy in the twenty-first century will depend on the development of a larger number of scientifically literate citizens, LiteracyStudies@OSU is organizing a Literacy and Science working group led by Jonathan Buehl (English: Science and Technical Writing), David Haury (Teaching and Learning: Science Education), Earle Holland (University Science Research Communication), and Harvey J. Graff (English and History: Literacy Studies) of colleagues across campus, whose interests include scientific literacy, science education, and science communication. The group will meet regularly to discuss and develop opportunities, and would welcome your participation. Contact Jonathan Buehl, buehl.7@osu.edu.
