Neurodiversity and the Job Search: A Graduate Student’s Perspective

February 28, 2024
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Zoom

Sponsored by the Disability Studies Program.

Please join us via Zoom on Wednesday, February 28 from 1-2pm for a conversation on Neurodiversity and the Job Search led by Eva Menezes.

Eva Menezes is a second-year MBA student at the Fisher College of Business pursuing a Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization (GIS) in Disability Studies. Eva will share her journey of balancing a rigorous academic program and a competitive MBA internship search process, which included discussing specific accommodations with a potential employer. She will share how she took an unconventional approach as a neurodivergent student navigating a business world with expectations designed for neurotypical individuals. Her distinct approach resulted in a meaningful summer 2023 internship with JPMorgan Chase and a full-time job offer. After completing her MBA in May, she will join the Chase Associate Program (CAP), a two-year rotational management development program, in Columbus.

In addition, Eva will provide insights from a recent independent study project that explored current career services practices and identified areas for improvement in supporting business students at Fisher.
