From comics strips and political cartoons to animated epics and ground-breaking graphic novels, the third annual Cartoon Crossroads Columbus (CXC) is here to connect the global family of cartoon storytellers, comic makers and animators with the people who love and are inspired by their art.
CXC is a free, citywide arts festival hosted every year by people and places with a passion for cartoon arts. Events will include Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum exhibitions and tours, a celebration of excellence and diversity in comics at SÕL-CON, a professional development track including peer-to-peer “Talk and Teach” presentations, panel discussions, special guests, multiple receptions and films at the Wex.
Venues on Thursday and Friday are Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum, Hale Hall and Wexner Center for the Arts on the Ohio State campus and on Saturday and Sunday at Columbus Metropolitan Library, Columbus Museum of Art (CMA) and Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD). Detailed schedule to be published soon.
