The Department of English hosts and co-sponsors countless events, ranging from small committee meetings to large multi-day conferences and performances. Some events need very little more than a room reservation, but most events need something more: advertising, catering, honorarium payments, or hybrid setups, just to name a few. These pages contain planning resources to ensure that both your event team and the department's staff have ample time to go prepare for your event.
While we encourage you to begin planning for your event as early as possible, beginning March 1, 2025, all public-facing events must be submitted at least six weeks in advance via the Comm Team Event form. For events submitted after the six-week cutoff, we cannot guarantee staff support, nor approval of fiscal requests.
