Luke Van Niel is a PhD student in the Department of English interested in the intersection of Digital Media Studies and Disability Studies. He is concerned with the accessibility of everyday technologies and the implications of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence. Luke enjoys composing digital media and "tinkering" with technologies in pursuit of knowledge-building and critical inquiry. He teaches Digital Media Composing, Introduction to Disability Studies, and other writing courses. Luke loves basketball, yoga, and spending time with his partner and their two cats.
