Bonnie Palos is a first generation Mexican-American/ Latina graduate student. Her main research and academic interests include but are not limited to: Horror Studies, Latinx Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Folklore and Borderlands Culture. Her work delves into the connections and implications that stem from juxtaposing modern and classic literature/film with special attention to the growing spectrum of sexuality, women empowerment, and cultural identity. Diving deep to find the connections within modern and classic literature and film in the ever growing spectrum of genres with sexuality, female empowerment, cultural identity. Committed to working with scholars, to further explore Latinx authors and producers in horror narratives and film as well as cultural folklore and feminist value representations inside the plethora of Latinx cultures.
