Matthew M. Cariello is a senior lecturer in the Department of English. His poems and haiku have been published in Poet Lore, Artful Dodge, The Journal of New Jersey Poets, The Evening Street Review, Heron’s Nest, White Lotus, Acorn, Simply Haiku and Daily Haiku. He has also published essays, stories and reviews in The Long Story, The Indiana Review, Iron Horse Literary Review, The Cortland Review, Ohioana, The Café Review, Modern Haiku, Frogpond and The Journal. He is the winner of the 2010 Bordighera Poetry Prize, and his collection of poems, A Boat That Can Carry Two, was published in 2011.
