Jordan is an English PhD Candidate from Salem, Oregon. His focus is in rhetoric and composition. He is interested in how new modes of digital production like podcasts, social media, and AI are used to form and circulate disinformation and how these new modes shape political discourse. His secondary interests include AI and writing program administration and the rhetoric of progress. Outside of rhetoric and composition, Jordan is interested in critical theory, discursive psychology, pop culture studies, and creative writing. He has presented scholarly work at Praxis Conference at the University of Washington, at the Annual Pop Culture Association Conference, and at the Symposium of University Research and Creative Expression at Central Washington University where he was awarded a session award and a department award. He has published creative work in multiple journals and was nominated for a Pushcart award.
