Academic Advisor MaryKatherine Ramsey awarded Susan M. Hartmann Mentoring and Leadership Award
The Department of English congratulates academic advisor MaryKatherine Ramsey for winning the Susan M. Hartmann Mentoring and Leadership Award!
According to the College of Arts and Sciences, the Susan M. Hartmann Mentoring and Leadership Award is awarded to a faculty, staff or student who “has demonstrated outstanding mentoring to and/or leadership on behalf of women or other historically underrepresented groups at the university.”
Ramsey began working at Ohio State in 2011 as an academic counselor, and she is currently an academic advisor to English majors and student athletes majoring in English. She also specializes in academic counseling, athlete advising, education abroad, academic policies and procedure. She is also the program director of Young Writers Workshop, which is a scholarship-based, one-week summer program in creative writing for Columbus area high school students.
Ramsey will soon be moving into her new role in the Department of English as Scheduling Coordinator and Retention Specialist.
