Evan Thomas is a PhD candidate composing a dissertation on Early Modern English printed image-text, with special attention to Shakespeare, Milton, Spenser and Middleton. His publications have emphasized the continuity of comics with early modern culture, the historiography of early modern religion and narrative theory in comics. His forthcoming publications will cover the ontology of book history and the extension of narratological character studies to drama.
