Sam Risak is a PhD candidate interested in narratives regarding addiction and toxicity. Raised in rural central Florida, she earned her BA in Gender Studies from University of South Florida and her MFA in Creative Writing from Chapman University. She is also the Creative Nonfiction and Graphic Essay Editor at Sweet: A Literary Confection.
