Bradley Dubos is a Provost’s Fellow in Native American Literature and Culture. In 2026, he will transition to the rank of Assistant Professor of English. He is a collaborative faculty member in the American Indian Studies program and a faculty affiliate of the Center for the Study of Religion. He earned his PhD in English from Northwestern University in 2022.

Bradley specializes in pre-1900 U.S. literatures and Native American and Indigenous literatures. His research interests include Indigenous poetry, American religious traditions, placemaking, place-based pedagogy, Great Lakes histories, and public humanities scholarship. His current book project studies how Black and Indigenous poets reshaped America’s religious landscapes during the revivals of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

 Before joining the Department of English at OSU, Bradley was the NEH Public Humanities Fellow at the New-York Historical Society, where he worked on the curatorial team for the traveling exhibition Acts of Faith: Religion and the American West. He has collaborated with tribal nations and community members on a variety of projects related to public history, cemetery preservation, library accessibility, and creative placemaking.
