Celia Cook holds an MA in Creative Writing from Ball State University, and a BA in English and Psychology from the University of Maryland College Park. They have taught Rhetoric and Writing Composition courses at Ball State University and the Community College of Baltimore County. They are also an avid bookbinder and have taught several craft courses.
Additionally, they interned at River Teeth: A Journal of Nonfiction Narrative from 2024-2025, were an essays reader for The Rumpus from 2022-2025, and is now the Images Editor for Beautiful Things. Celia Cook has been published in Michigan Quarterly Review, So to Speak, and River Teeth Revisited. As a multi-genre writer, their focus is in mythology and fairytales, gender and sexuality, and text and image. Currently, they are busy writing two books, buying too many cardigans, and baking banana bread. You can find them on Instagram @belia.book.
