Aliyah Blattner (she/ze) is a poet, zinester, organizer, and care worker. While raised in the Pacific Northwest on Atfalati land, Blattner comes to Columbus by way of Lenapehoking/Brooklyn. Blattner's writing aims to rupture, refuse, and reimagine Jewish literary and cultural production through a queer feminist diasporist lens. Prior to starting hir graduate studies, ze taught both creative writing to queer and trans young adults at the Brooklyn Community Pride Center and supported literary arts programming at Brooklyn Poets. In addition to her writing, Blattner is passionate about organizing for care across the lifespan, including universal childcare, fair wages for home care workers, defending Medicaid, and expanding elder care services. Blattner's poetry appears in Sinister Wisdom, Yellow Arrow Journal, New Voices Magazine, Dyke Diaries, and elsewhere. Ze received a Bachelor of Arts in Literary Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Gender & Sexuality Studies from Brown University in 2023.
