The Department of English would like to congratulate Andreá Williams on receiving the University’s Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award. The award is the highest honor that the university bestows on those who have made significant advancements in the area of diversity at the university. The award is given annually  by the Office of Human Resources and the Senate Diversity Committee. Recipients are honored at an annual ceremony and each receive a plaque and a $1,200 cash award. Honorees are recognized at a spring luncheon with university leadership, diversity ambassadors and supporters, and guests of the award recipient; recipients are also honored during halftime of a Fall football game (Andreá will be so honored on Sept. 3 at the OSU-Bowling Green game). Below is a picture of Andreá shortly after learning she had won.
