In this interactive workshop, participants will consider what it means to ask students to engage productively with sources, in part by examining their own experience with reading and using the writing of others. This workshop will include a variety of activities, modes of engagement, and access to resources.
This workshop is presented as part of the FYWP’s commitment to the idea that words have consequences and that we have a responsibility as teachers of writing to heighten students’ awareness and capability for understanding those consequences in their reading and writing.

We plan to record the workshop and distribute the recording to the participants and those unable to attend.
