On Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, Project Narrative will sponsor a lecture by Jonathan Culler, the Class of 1916 Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Cornell University.

Culler is one of the pre-eminent literary theorists of our time, having written such influential books as Structuralist PoeticsOn DeconstructionLiterary Theory: A Very Short IntroductionThe Literary in Theory and, most recently, Theory of the Lyric. Culler will speak on narratology and the lyric.
