(Senior Lecturer) (M.A., The Ohio State University): Basic writing, folklore. Author of papers on ethnography and composition, and service learning; also writes about folk art and folk artists, and turntablism. Developed and taught a service-learning composition course focusing on collecting oral history in Columbus' Mt. Vernon Avenue neighborhood. Also taught a composition course focusing on oral history collection in the University District. Author, with Martine Stephens, of Living Folklore, an introductory folklore textbook published by Utah State University Press.
