Add to Calendar 2015-02-07 00:00:00 2015-02-08 00:00:00 Visiting Writers Series: Sarah Shun-lien Bynum Sarah Shun-lien Bynum is the author of two novels, Ms. Hempel Chronicles, a finalist for the 2009 PEN/Faulkner Award, and Madeleine Is Sleeping, a finalist for the 2004 National Book Award and winner of the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize. The recipient of a Whiting Writers’ Award and an NEA Fellowship, she was named one of “20 Under 40” fiction writers by the New Yorker. She lives in Los Angeles and teaches in the Graduate Writing Program at Otis College of Art and Design.The OSU creative writing MFA students will participate in a weekend-long workshop in fiction with Sarah.  She will also give a public reading of her work at a date and time to be announced.
