Mitchell Honored by SSAWW for "Living With Lynching"

Professor Koritha Mitchell has been awarded the Society for the Study of American Women Writers (SSAWW) book award, which honors the best book published between November 2008 and November 2011, for Living with Lynching. Professor Mitchell commented about this honor:

"It's so wonderful to know that these literature scholars see the book's importance to the same degree that the theatre scholars of the American Theatre and Drama Society did. With these two book awards, the lynching playwrights are taking their rightful place!!!"
