Eliza Smith

MFA Student


Eliza Smith joins the creative nonfiction program after completing her MA at the Missouri School of Journalism, where she was editor-in-chief of Vox, a weekly small-city magazine. She is the online editor for The Journal, the MFA program’s literary magazine, and organizes the StuFac and Epilog reading series. Her essay, "All These Apocalypses," won the 2017 Pinch Literary Award for Creative Nonfiction. Her flash piece, "Half-Moon," was a finalist for Indiana Review's 1/2K prize.
