Nicholas Bollinger is a PhD student studying film, television and narrative theory. His research is focused on serial narrativity in the contemporary era of franchise filmmaking, as well as the impact of streaming services on television narratives. He is particularly interested in the evolution of characters and figures whose appearances span numerous texts and media, from Sherlock Holmes and Dracula to James Bond and Freddy Krueger.
