The Department of English is proud to introduce its brand new student communications team, headed by Communication Specialist, Breanne LeJeune! The student team, all of whom are English majors, consists of Madalynn Conkle, Michaela Corning-Myers, Maxwell Steele and Avery Samuels.
Conkle is the team leader and project manager. Corning-Myers and Conkle co-manage the communications email account and various English, Center for the Study of Teaching and Writing and Center for Folklore Studies websites. Corning-Myers and Conkle also contribute original content for the website and social media. Steele manages the department’s social media accounts and Samuels is a writer and content developer.
The communications team is responsible for managing the day-to-day communications within the Department of English, the CSTW and the CFA; the team is also highly-involved in some exciting larger projects. For instance, they are developing a brand new English website which is set to go live in SP’18. In early October, they will launch a new monthly e-newsletter and re-launch the department’s Facebook and Twitter accounts! Members of the Department of English can already enjoy much more frequent news and events updates on the website.
LeJeune will give a presentation on the new communications capabilities, department initiatives and project request process at the October EDC meeting.
The team can be reached via email at email@example.com or in person in 421 Denney Hall.
