Kathy Fagan Grandinetti Receives the Raymond J. Hanley Award

Kathy Fagan Grandinetti, director of the MFA Program in Creative Writing, was selected to be the recipient of the Raymond J. Hanley award!

The Raymond J. Hanley award is given to an artist who has shown great accomplishment in their field. Fagan has demonstrated a high level of achievement in the field of literature, which has led to her being the first-ever literary arts recipient. For her efforts, Fagan Grandinetti will receive a grant of $12,500. She will also attend a private reception with the board of the Columbus Foundation to receive her award.

Fagan Grandinetti's latest book is Sycamore. Other published works include The Raft, The Charm and Lip among others. She has been published in Poetry, The Paris Review, The Nation, Slate and many other anthologies and journals.
