Open House and Information for New Students

MA/PhD, MFA, and PhD students who are admitted to the English graduate program for the 2019-20 academic year will be invited to our open house.

Monday, April 1, 2019

10:00    MFA Meet 'n Greet, 311 Denney Hall
11:00    MFA Breakout Sessions, Creative Writing Suite (1st floor Denney Hall), meet MFA faculty

11-12   Visit to the Rare Books and Manuscripts Room at Thompson Library
            Gather in Denney Hall to walk together to the Library - location to be announced
12:00   Lunch hosted by English Graduate Organization (EGO)
            311 Denney Hall (English Department Commons Room)
12:45   Group Meeting with English department faculty, administrators
            311 Denney Hall
2:00    MA/PhD Area Group meeetings (various locations)
2:00    MFA Campus Tours, meet with current students
           Meet in Creative Writing Suite, 1st floor Denney Hall

2:30    Disability Studies meet-and-greet. Prospective students interested in the Disability Studies program and/or in doing DS-related research are welcome.

3:00    MA/PhD Campus Tours given by current graduate students
4:00    Reception at the Faculty Club
           181 S. Oval Drive
8:30    Mother Tongue readings featuring Creative Writing students at Rambling House Soda, 310 E. Hudson St. 43202

Items in bold are open to both MA/PhD and MFA admitted students.
