Lord Denney's Players Table Read

November 8, 2017
Monday, November 27, 2017 - 6:00pm
Denney 311
A most pleasant and excellent conceited comedy, of Sir John Falstaff, and the Merry Wives of Windsor. With the swaggering vain of Ancient Pistol and Corporal Nym. Written by William Shakespeare.

Lord Denney's Players invites undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff to join a table reading of Sir John Falstaff and the Merry Wives of Windsor, the first quarto text of Shakespeare's play that was published in 1602. The event will take place on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 6 p.m. in 311 Denney Hall. This version of the play is shorter than its 1623 Folio cousin, and it will serve as the text for the LDP production of the play which will run from April 4 to 7, 2018 at the Columbus Performing Arts Center. Refreshments will be provided. Auditions for the spring production will occur January 10 to 12, 2018, but this reading will give would-be actors a chance to explore the play for themselves and experiment with play reading. Drop-ins are welcome, but to secure a chance to read a particular role at the table reading, email assistant director Clara Davison (davison.102). For any other queries about the production, email professor Sarah Neville (neville.67).
