More information forthcoming. Faculty, emeriti, staff, graduate students, undergraduate student award winners and friends of the Ohio State Department of English are invited to attend the department's annual awards celebration on Monday, April 20, 2020. The event will take place at the Barrister Club on 25 West 11th Avenue (above Panera Bread) from 6:30pm–8:30 pm. Just as we've done for the past two years, we will forgo the formal award ceremony format for a more casual open-house style program. This format will allow attendees more freedom to come and go at times that suit their schedules. The open house format will also provide increased opportunities for attendees to spend time together outside of the classroom in the spirit of celebrating one another's many fabulous accomplishments.  There will be a professional photographer on hand to take photos of award winners alongside their guests and/or department faculty, staff or donors. As in previous years, the department will have the event catered with delicious hors d'oeuvre, desserts and a variety of festive beverages. Dress is business casual. Attendees are asked to RSVP by Friday, April 10 by completing an RSVP form. The form prompts attendees to provide the following information: The first and last names of all people in the submitter's party, including that of the submitter The constituencies of all party members (students, parents/family members of award winners, faculty/staff, alumni/donors) An email address  Whether or not you will need parking validation. Parking validation for Gateway Garage is open only to undergraduate students, parents, alumni and donors (Gateway Garage– 75 East 11th Ave). Faculty and staff are not eligible for parking validation. Accessible parking is available nearby. Per university policy, university employees will not be eligible to receive printable parking passes. We look forward to seeing you all on April 20!
