Department Space Access
The department allocates office space to faculty, staff and graduate students before they arrive on campus. Tenure-Track faculty and professional staff offices are accessible by a key which will be provided by the HR Associate on the first day of employment. Associated faculty, graduate student and visiting scholar offices are accessible by BuckID which can be obtained by visiting the BuckIDoffice. General office space and meeting rooms are accessible by using the department keypad code. Please contact the HR Associate if you need the code.
Denney Hall is open Monday through Friday (6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and Sunday (2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., east and west entrances only). If you are hosting an event that requires the building to be unlocked beyond these hours, please contact the Classroom Logistics Coordinator by phone (614) 292-1263 or email (Graham) firstname.lastname@example.org.
To schedule department and central classroom pool rooms for non-class purposes, please email thefront desk staff. Room requests specific to classes should be addressed to the department scheduler. You may schedule the following department meeting rooms:
DE 311 (60 – 70)
DE 419 (6 – 8)
DE 435 (6 – 8)
DE 447 (12 – 14)
DE 462 (one-on-one Instructor-Student Consultation Room)
The following restrictions apply:
Students may book and use meeting rooms after business hours only if a faculty member from English is present throughout the meeting or event.
Non-departmental groups may book and use these rooms only with the special permission of the Chair.
Too hot, too cold, broken this, broken that—please contact Facilities, Operations and Development (FOD) 24/7. FOD will respond to “urgent” needs within 20 – 30 minutes. Please contact FOD by phone (614) 292-4357, Email. For HVAC problems, please check the Denney Hall thermostat listing. The problem could be caused by the thermostat controlling the temperature in your office which may be located in a neighbor's office.
To provide students, faculty and staff with an enhanced feedback tool on the university’s facilities and grounds, Service2Facilities (S2F) has launched a new, mobile-friendly website for service requests. Designed for all browsers, this website is compatible on desktops and mobile devices. To submit your request, visit https://s2f.osu.edu.
With the launch of the mobile S2F site, all current Android and iOS S2F apps will no longer be available effective May 1, 2016. Users are encouraged to begin using https://s2f.osu.edu today!

Heating-Cooling Transition – FOD maintenance personnel conduct season heating-cooling transitions in April and October. FOD works to ensure a seamless changeover, but weather variations may cause unanticipated fluctuations to interior temperatures.
