The Department of English offers students the opportunity to pursue coursework and study across an incredibly wide array of research areas. Undergraduates pursuing a BA in English will concentrate half of their major coursework in one of four areas: (1) Literature, Film, and Popular Culture Studies; (2) Writing, Rhetoric, and Literacy; (3) Folklore; and (4) Creative Writing. We also offer undergraduate minors in Creative Writing, Critical and Cultural Theory, Disability Studies, English, Medical Humanities, Popular Culture Studies and Professional Writing.
