Students: Graduate Information
Advising
All incoming M.A., M.F.A., and Ph.D. students are assigned a faculty adviser by letter at the end of the Spring Quarter before they enroll in the graduate program. Students may change advisers at any time (and are expected to if they find someone else on the faculty they want to work with); all they need to do is register the change with the Director of Graduate Studies. Whenever questions arise about requirements, courses, progress, academic standing, or any emergency, a student should consult with his or her adviser, or, if more appropriate, with the Director of Graduate Studies. This section of the Web site is designed to provide support to students and advisors by making policies, procedures, and resources readily available to them.- Conferences
