The Journal of the Society for the Study of Narrative Literature

Narrative Logo Narrative is the official journal of the Society for the Study of Narrative Literature, the association for scholars interested in narrative. Narrative 's broad range of scholarship includes the English, American, and European novel, nonfiction narrative, film, and narrative as used in performance art. the journal is edited by James Phelan at The Ohio State University.

The Society for the Study of Narrative Literature studies narrative's elements, techniques, and forms; its relation to other modes of discourse; its power and influence in cultures past and present. Anyone with an interest in narrative studies is invited to join. Membership in the Society includes a subscription to Narrative as well as to the Society's newsletters which contain information about the Society's annual conference, its sessions at the annual MLA convention, and other activities.
