Library Collections
The Rhetoric, Composition, and Literacy Studies Libraries hold over 500 printed and electronic texts in rhetoric, composition, and literacy. The library is available to graduate students and faculty in the Department of English.The Circulating Library is located in Denney 402B, inside the English Department Office at the end of the hall past the photocopying room.

What's New in the Collection
- Snyder, Brueggemann, and Garland-Thompsonís Disability Studies (2002) contains articles on deaf performance, visible vs. "hidden" disability, and other political and social aspects of disability that could be used to start discussions in 110 and 367 classes.

Hesford and Kozolís Haunting Violations (2001)
links feminist criticism with colonialism and third-world socio-economics and could be used in composition and in womenís studies classes. -
Johnsonís Nineteenth-Century Rhetoric in North America (1991)
links nineteenth-century rhetoric and writing manuals to class distinctions and self-presentation, and can add depth to survey courses covering that era.
To request and sign out an item, consult with the graduate student staff in the office. We require your signature to check out books to you.
Most of our books do not have a set loan period, but may be recalled. Books on the MA Exam list have either a 24-hour photocopying period, or a 2-week loan period.
We encourage book donations, especially MA Exam list books.
