Throat Clearing Phrases
Throat clearing phrases……Original: After the initial examination, it is clear it is supposed to ignite national unity in a time when the world was at war.
Revision: The monument ignited national unity among Americans during the hardships of World War II.
Original: It could also be look at as not wanting to give too much attention to the marines so they wouldn't draw too much attention away from the flag.
Revision: The monument draws attention not to the marines but to the flag.
