Institute on Digital Media and Composing (DMAC)

Digital Media and Composing.

DMAC is an annual two-week institute, hosted jointly by the OSU Department of English and the Digital Media Project. The institute focuses on the effective use of digital media in college composition classrooms. Participants design and create multimodal texts; experimenting with various genres of digital representation; exploring questions access, equity, agency and literacy in digital environments; and applying their insights to the development of meaningful assignments, syllabi, and curricula. Knowledgeable staff provide individualized assistance with digital media in state-of-the-art computer classrooms, and nationally recognized consultants lead discussions about their use of multimodal work in teaching and research. OSU graduate students are eligible to attend this institute, which attracts faculty and speakers from across the country.
