MFA Program: Important Deadlines
Application to the Program:
- All domestic applicants for the 2010-2011 academic year must have completed applications and related materials postmarked by December 15, 2009.
- All international applicants for the 2010-2011 academic year must have completed applications and related materials received by November 30, 2009.
Submit the following items:

- Three letters of recommendation (on official letterhead)
- Personal Statement
- Teaching Statement
- a curriculum vitae or resume no longer than two pages (required of all applicants who wish to be considered for a Graduate School Fellowship);
- Creative and critical writing samples
- GRE scores (test taken no later than November 30th; Institution Code: 1592; Department Code: 2503; scores are sent to us via the Educational Testing Service)

Notification of Successful Applicants:
No later than the first week of March, 2010.
Notification Of University Fellowships:
letters are sent from the Graduate School during the third week of March. All successful fellowship applicants will be informed by March 31, 2010.
G.T.A. AND G.A.A. OFFERS
are mailed from the English Department no later than the first week of March. Alternates may receive offers as late as April or early May.
