Programs and Areas
Latino/a Literature Area
The English Department at Ohio State University has a number of faculty who specialize in the study of Latino/a literature, film, comic books, music, and rhetoric as well as faculty who write and teach Latino/a fiction. While the dominant approaches are driven by aesthetic (narrative theory) and contextual material (social, historical, and cognitive) concerns, those who teach and publish in the area of Latino/a literature and culture keep centrally in mind that the advancement of knowledge in this field is always necessarily interdisciplinary.
