Welcome to OSU, New Graduate Students!


Annika Konrad.
Annika Konrad, incoming MA student
Annika comes from Milwaukee, WI via the University of Wisconsin, Madison where she studied English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. She plans to study rhetoric, composition, and literacy at OSU.
Bill Riley.
Bill Riley, incoming Nonfiction MFA student
Bill comes to OSU from Greencastle, Indiana where he majored in communications at DePauw University. He has also worked in public relations for the American Cancer Society and for the Fundraising Office at DePauw University.
Sara Pierce.
Sara Pierce, incoming MA student
Sara comes to OSU from Harriman, Tennessee. She got her BA from the department of English literature at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, which also awarded her the Ann Hight Gore Essay Prize. Sara plans to study American modernist literature at OSU.

Sarah Dunlap.
Sarah Dunlap, incoming PhD student
Sarah comes to OSU with an MA in English from SUNY Fredonia and a BS in Human Development at Cornell University. Her research interests are in ecocriticism and Sexuality Studies, especially in the context of the work of Virginia Woolf. Sarah plans to study how representations of nature world reflect ideas and values society holds about nature and the natural world.

Ashley Caveda.
Ashley Caveda, incoming Nonfiction MFA student
Ashley comes to OSU from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she studied English with a writing emphasis and Spanish. She also TA'd creative nonfiction courses at her alma mater and worked as an interpreter, translator, and paralegal for the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic in Indianapolis. Ashley hopes to write memoir and other types of creative nonfiction here at OSU.
