The First Year Writing Program is pleased to announce the 2016 English 1110 Symposium Celebration. This annual event showcases multimodal work produced by students in English 1110 during the past year; this year’s student presentations cover topics ranging from representations of heroism and villainy in the media, to a report on the lack of resources for LGBTQIA+ victims of sexual assault, to an evolution of Disney Princesses, and all points between. Come see the skillful ways students employ non-textual tools to develop and convey their ideas with excitement and passion! This event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
