Those of you who have been out of town and who have not changed your password will have to do that in order to log into your office machines and in order to log into the Humanities network from a remote computer. To change your password, you need to use any machine that can connect to the internet and to go to this address: https://humanities.osu.edu/osuauth/his/changeadpassword/. You will first be prompted to use your OSU email address and password and then the system will prompt you to create a password that you can use to login to your machine. Please be aware that your new password has to have at least seven alphanumeric characters, one capital letter, and at least one number. If you have any questions or problems, please contact HIS help: hishelp@osu.edu, or 292-8662.
HIS has created a webpage with useful links for remote file access and instructions for access the new file servers from on-campus. This Web page is http://his.osu.edu/help.cfm.
